My Body transformation challenge

Six weeks ago I entered a six week body transformation challenge.

I was in this to do something for myself as Personal Trainers always need to be on top shape as we are selling ourselves to improve others health and fitness what ever their goals might be ranging from weight loss, toning, fitness, shaping, muscle definition and an overall healthy lifestyle.

In the challenge I was weighed, measured, training way out of my comfort zone that’s for sure and there were even some things at the beginning I had to over come fear, and I was proud of myself I do have to say as I over come some obstacles and now I do not have a fear of being out of my comfort zone as this only makes you stronger as a PT and in general when it comes to trying new things with exercise and seeing what your body can do.

In week 5 I suffered a really bad injury via my neck and shoulders and then when I was in real pain and agony I seeked professional help. I was diagnosed and  I was suffering from acute rib pain, which I didn’t even realize until day 3 of the injury. I was out of action for one whole week and this was a really down fall for me and my training as I could not train as I was in need to rest and recover.

At this point I was devastated that I was advised not to train and to just rest until the inflammation and muscles was recovered. At this stage that’s all I could do as I was limited to certain movements and I wanted a full recovery quick through rest so that I was able to continue back into the challenge and training. While I was out of action my body really knew that I was injured and it is amazing that all my body wanted was for me to rest. Its amazing what sleep can do for the body when it is in need of repairing.

During the challenge food was also a big impact to eat as clean and enough nourishment to replenish and nourish the muscles and body as the training was intense and good food and hydration was much needed.  I was  also being monitored on foods that I  was preparing at home for my meals and the portion size of each meal. This was also monitored by writing down into a food diary all my meals and at what time I would have my food. This was a guide for me to make sure that I knew I was getting enough nourishment and hydration and at the right times before, during and after my training sessions.

This was a very important aspect to the challenge as food and hydration is the most important component in achieving your health and fitness goals.

I really enjoyed doing the challenge and training most importantly I got a whole wide variety of things that I do have to say that I am proud of myself in accomplishing what I did.

Most importantly I gained more than what my goals were set out to be and in saying that all you need is dedication, motivation and most of all commitment. Anyone can do it!

This is a picture of me and my results.
